Meet Poli - The Heart Behind CUENTAME POLI *
With over 35 years in the classroom, Poli Aparicio—a native of Venezuela who lived in El Salvador for 20 years—has spent her life doing what she loves most: sparking curiosity, building confidence, and helping children fall in love with Spanish.
A storyteller at heart and an educator by training, Poli believes that language is more than just words; it’s about connection, culture, and magic. Her passion for literacy and second language acquisition shines through in her writing, which is rooted in real places and designed to help children understand and thrive.
For years, Poli has written comprehensible, culturally rich stories for her students, crafted specifically to meet their learning needs in class.
Poli holds degrees from Rollins College, Buffalo State University, Universidad Centroamericana José Simeón Cañas, and a Master’s in International Education from Framingham State University.
She brings joy and culture to the classroom as an elementary Spanish second language teacher in Atlanta, Georgia. Through CUÉNTAME POLI, she shares her stories with teachers and learners around the world.
